Last Minute Changes.
We had to make a few slight changes to the Trailer. Just small things such as the wire frame for the shot of the moving reflection, and small spelling mistakes and bits of incorrect punctuation.

Our Production and our Ancillary tasks...
This is our Official Trailer for our production, we are extreamly pleased with how it turned out, as we were unsure about whether it was going to work, as we knew our idea was quite complex. We had aload of ideas, but we knew that putting them all together was going to be a challenge, but i think we managed to pull it off. We wanted to involve several quite complex shots and angles, to give off the instant impression of a psychological thriller.

The film poster went really well. We came up with several ideas, from movie posters that we had seen online. We searched different films that we knew were succesful at the box office, and looked at ideas that they had used to advertise and markey their production as well as they did. We made the decision of using a screen shot from our trailer for the poster, as we thought it was a key shot, which gives the audience an instant insight into the film, and leaves them wondering what the film had to offer. I think we done well to keep the key concepts of a physiological thriller in our film poster, with the colors and fonts that we used, as well as the distorted effect that we used on the main picture. We used photo shop to crop the picture from a screen shot, and darken the image after converting it to black and white, we then edited it further on picnik just to add the squares and distortion which i believe gives the audience that sense of confusion.

Our Magazine cover came together extremely well. We did a lot of online research to gather information and to pick up on key concepts that magazine company's such as Empire and Film magazine use to draw in customers. We took the majority of our ideas from other magazines. Such as the silver bar along the bottom, which we saw used on the cover of an Empire magazine. It stands out and is a good way to advertise other aspects of the magazine, instead of only advertising our product, we wanted to show the audience what else our magazine had to offer inside, which would be effective to appeal to other members of the public who may or may not be interested in our film. Things such as movie posters and fashion pull-outs, that appeal to more than just film fans, but fans of celeb news and gossip also.
We did about 20 different copies of our magazine front page, before we finally decided on which one to go with. I think it shows the amount of ideas that we had, as we were constantly changing and editing what we had. We were constantly looking at different examples of magazines on the internet, and we kept finding new styles and new aspects that we thought would look good on our cover and give it an professional effect.

Final Decisions.
The first scene consists of our lead role throughout his child hood, which would more than likely mean he'd be wearing a school uniform whilst he is at work with his science project.
The main setting for our Trailer will in the house of the lead role and a local, isolated park, where our lead role often goes to be with his thoughts. A large majority of the shots in our trailer will be shot in the dark or at night, i think this gives the trailer a dark vibe, which is exactly the point were trying to get across to th audience.

The Animatic for our film trailer.
This is the animaic for our film trailer '1/2'.
I think it gives a rough explanation about what the viewer can expect to see in the trailer and i believe that it explains the story enough to make someone interested in the production. It gives you an idea of what our settings are going to be and an idea of what shots were are focusing on most.
I have spoke before about our shot ideas being taken from the Black Swan. Here are a few examples of the shots we have gained ideas from...
This Is the shot where our character walks past his other half. This is one of our most important shots, as its where we see the difference between his 2 sides.

Audience Expectations.
This is a short video of our group asking 3 students from within our sixthform, questions on what they would expect to see in our film trailer. We ask them about age rating, mise en scene within the trailer and also asked if they could name any examples of a Physcological Thriller off the top of their heads, to show us if they understand the Genre.

Shot, Effects and Angle Ideas.
There are several trailers i have looked at and watched through to gain inspiration and ideas for what i want our movie trailer to consist of. Although the quality of our shots and the editing of our footage will not be that of a hollywood blockbuster, i think the ideas can be used to good effect and can create some interesting footage for our trailer.

The other clip i really like the look of, is where the lead role happens to walk past a female, whos she believes to be herself, but her dark side. You can see the difference between the two charcacters. Good and evil is shown in this image through there clothing, one dark and one light, i think this is extreamly effective. This shot looks alot easy to acheive without using special effects, as we just need to use a different person for the fron and behind shots.
This is a short video taken from an interview with Natalie Portman. The lead Role in the film Black Swann.
She speaks about her character and the mind set and preperation she went through when portraying this character. She tells us about the difference between the two sides of herself and the differences and changes she had to make when interchanging between the two. Her character is very similar to the lead charatcer in our trailer, as she finds herself stuck in the middle of her own split personalities.

Audience Theories
Two Step Flow- The Two Step Flow theory which is also known as the 'Multistep Flow Model' is a theory which believes that the audience make a judgement on the media product based on the opinions of the opinion leaders that influence the media. Opinions leaders are the people who have primarily consumed media texts and passed of their opinions to opinion followers who are general members of the public.
Uses & Gratifications- Uses & Gratifications theory is the theory based on understanding mass media and media communication. This theory suggest that media consumers try and discover media texts that will meet a specific need but will also enhance knowledge, social interactions and diversion. it also suggest that media consumers play a role in interpreting and intergrating media into their own lives. The theory believes that people use the media to meet a particular gratifications, this therefore connotes that the media complete against other information sources for the purpose of the media consumers gratifications.
Reception Analysis- This approach to textual analysis focuses on the scope for "negotiation" and "opposition" on the part of the audience. This means that a "text"—be it a book, movie, or other creative work—is not simply passively accepted by the audience, but that the reader / viewer interprets the meanings of the text based on their individual cultural background and life experiences. In essence, the meaning of a text is not inherent within the text itself, but is created within the relationship between the text and the reader.
